Israeli police officers arrived in Uman for Rosh Hashanah (Photo)

Israeli police officers have arrived in Uman, where they will work alongside their Ukrainian colleagues to maintain public order and ensure safety in the area where the Bratslav Hasidim live and gather for pilgrimage during the Jewish New Year celebrations. This was reported by the press service of the Cherkasy Regional Police.

The foreign law enforcement officers will remain in the city until the end of Rosh Hashanah.

During a coordination meeting, representatives from both countries agreed on joint actions to effectively ensure order and security in the pilgrimage area.

Currently, Israeli police officers, together with Ukrainian law enforcement officers, State Emergency Service rescue workers, and National Guard servicemembers, are conducting joint patrols and providing guidance to pilgrims.

The situation in Uman remains stable and under control.
