Arrival Rules
From 7:00 p.m. on September 10, 2023, through September 20, 2023, access to the pilgrimage area will
be restricted.
The following are prohibited in the pilgrimage area:
the sale of alcoholic beverages and alcohol-based products;
the sale and use of pyrotechnic products/devices, including fireworks, firecrackers,
and other explosive substances that produce noise;
the sale of air guns and toys that imitate weapons.
Procedures for the travel and arrival of pilgrims in Uman:
1) Travel by motor vehicle:
– During curfew hours, travel by motor vehicle is –
prohibited.
Travel during curfew hours (from 00:00 to 04:00) is permitted only when
escorted by the patrol police or the State Security Service from border
crossing points the state border to the city of Uman (please call the hotline)
2) Entry into the city of Uman will be permitted at only one location (Vyzvolyteliv Street).
A superficial check and inspection of personal belongings and luggage will be conducted at the screening point
on Vyzvolyteliv Street.
At the entrance to the city of Uman (Vyzvolyteliv Street), pilgrims will be screened for
the presence of prohibited items using technical equipment.
If pilgrims are accompanied by the patrol police, the aforementioned inspection at the screening checkpoint
will not be conducted.
Pilgrims must strictly comply with the requirements of law enforcement
officials!
This includes requirements regarding compliance with the curfew established in the city of Uman,
as well as responding to “Air Raid” and “Missile Threat” alerts.
