List of Border Crossings and Checkpoints

On the border with the Republic of Poland

There are a total of 17 border crossing points and checkpoints operating on the Ukrainian-Polish border:

8 road border crossing points: “Rava-Ruska” (“Khrebenne”), “Shehyni” (“Medika”), “Yagodin” (“Dorohusk”), “Ustyluh” (“Zosin”), “Krakivets” (“Korchova”), “Smilnytsia” (“Kroszcenko”), “Hrushiv” (“Budomierz”), “Ugryniv” (“Dolgobichuv”);

6 railway border crossing points: “Rava-Ruska” (“Werkhrata”), “Rava-Ruska” (“Khrebenne”), “Khyriv” (“Kroscenko”), “Yagodin” (“Dorohusk”), “Volodymyr-Volynskyi” (“Khrubeshuv”), “Mostyska” (“Przemyśl”);

3 checkpoints: “Ludin,” “Izov,” “Lviv.”

On the border with the Slovak Republic

In total, there are 6 border crossing points and checkpoints operating on the Ukrainian-Slovak border:

2 road border crossing points: “Malyi Berezny” (“Ublia”), “Uzhhorod” (“Vyshne Nemetske”);

2 railway border crossing points: “Pavlove” (“Matovice”), “Chop (Strazh)” (“Cierna nad Tisou”);

1 pedestrian border crossing: “Mali Selmentsi” (“Velke Slemence”);

1 checkpoint: “Uzhhorod.”

On the border with Hungary

In total, there are 8 border crossing points and checkpoints operating on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border:

5 vehicle border crossing points: “Dzvinkove” (“Lonyá”), “Kosyno” (“Barabás”), “Vylok” (“Tisabec”), “Chop (Tisa)” (“Zahony”), “Luzhanka” (“Beregsurany”);

2 railway border crossing points: “Chop (Druzhba)” (“Záhony”), “Salovka” (“Epereske”);

1 checkpoint: “Bateve.”

On the border with Romania

In total, there are 11 border crossing points operating on the Ukrainian-Romanian border:

3 road border crossing points: “Dyakove” (“Halmeu”), “Solotvyno” (“Sighetu Marmatiei”), “Porubne” (“Siret”);

3 river border crossing points: “Izmail” (“Plaur”), “Vylkove” (“Pereprava”), “Kiliya” (“Kiliya Veche”);

4 railway border crossings: “Teresva” (“Cimpulung la Tisa”), “Dilove” (“Valea Viseului”), “Dyakove” (“Halmeu”), “Vadul-Siret” (“Viksani”);

1 maritime border crossing: *“Orlivka” (“Isaccea”).

In accordance with Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Order No. 288-r dated March 13, 2020, a number of border crossings and checkpoints have been temporarily closed.

Customs Regulations in Ukraine

Individuals may carry the following items across the Ukrainian border without submitting a written declaration to customs authorities:

– personal belongings: two cell phones, one video camera, one camera, and two portable personal computers; sports equipment; personal jewelry that has been worn; clothing and footwear intended exclusively for personal use; 500 ml of eau de toilette or 100 ml of perfume, and other items for personal use;

– goods with a total value not exceeding 1,000 euros for air travel and 500 euros/50 kg for other border crossing points;

– Ukrainian cash or foreign currency in an amount not exceeding 10,000 euros;

– alcoholic beverages: spirits (vodka, cognac, whiskey, etc.) in quantities of 1 liter, wine—2 liters, beer—5 liters;

– tobacco products—200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco, or 250 grams of these products;

– food products for personal consumption with a value not exceeding 200 euros:

* in the manufacturer’s packaging (intended for retail sale)—one package or a total weight of no more than 2 kg per item;

* unpackaged — up to 2 kg of each item;

* an indivisible product ready for immediate consumption—1 item of each type;

– Medicines in quantities not exceeding 5 packages of each item per person (except those containing narcotic or psychotropic substances) or not exceeding the quantity specified in the prescription (as held by the person), issued in that person’s name and certified by the stamp of a doctor and/or a healthcare facility.
