Uman authorities announced restrictions in the pilgrimage area

The Executive Committee of the Uman City Council announces security measures regarding
the preparation for and conduct of the 2024 Rosh Hashanah celebrations.

By Order No. 15 of the Head of the Uman District Military Administration dated September 16,
2024, “On the Organization of Specific Security Measures During the Celebration of the Religious Holiday
Rosh Hashanah in 2024,” the following is PROHIBITED from 12:00 a.m. on September 23, 2024, until 12:00 a.m. on October 8, 2024, within
the territory (area) of the pilgrimage:

• • the sale of alcoholic beverages and alcohol-based
    substances (with the exception of medications authorized for use and included in
    the State Register of Medicines and Disinfectants) within the territory
    of the pilgrimage site;

• • the sale and use of pyrotechnic devices, including fireworks, firework displays,
    and other explosive substances that produce noise, as well as the sale
    air guns and toys that imitate weapons, in order to avoid confrontation
    between police officers and individuals carrying replica firearms.
