How to Get to Ukraine: List of Border Crossings

Currently, the border can only be crossed via land border checkpoints on our country’s western border—with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova

On the border with the Republic of Poland

In total, there are 17 border crossing points and checkpoints along the Ukrainian-Polish border:

8 road border crossings: “Rava-Ruska” (“Khrebenne”), “Shehyni” (“Medika”), “Yagodin” (“Dorohusk”), “Ustyluh” (“Zosin”), “Krakivets” (“Korchova”), “Smilnytsia” (“Kroshchenko”), “Hrushiv” (“Budomizh”), “Ugryniv” (“Dolgobichuv”);

6 railway border crossing points: “Rava-Ruska” (“Verchrata”), “Rava-Ruska” (“Khribenne”), “Khyriv” (“Kroshchenko”), “Yagodin” (“Dorohusk”), “Volodymyr-Volynskyi” (“Khrubešuv”), “Mostyska” (“Przemyśl”);

3 checkpoints: “Lyudin,” “Izov,” “Lviv.”

On the border with the Slovak Republic

In total, there are 6 border crossing points and checkpoints operating along the Ukrainian-Slovak border:

2 road border crossings: “Maly Berezny” (“Ublia”), “Uzhhorod” (“Vyshne-Nemetske”);

2 railway border crossing points: “Pavlove” (“Matochovce”), “Chop (Strazh)” (“Cierna nad Tisou”);

1 pedestrian border crossing: “Mali Selmentsi” (“Velke Slemence”);

1 checkpoint: “Uzhhorod.”

On the border with Hungary

In total, there are 8 border crossing points and checkpoints operating on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border:

5 vehicle checkpoints: “Dzvinkove” (“Lonya”), “Kosyno” (“Barabash”), “Vylok” (“Tisabek”), “Chop (Tisa)” (“Zagony”), “Luzhanka” (“Beregsurany”);

2 railway border crossing points: “Chop (Druzhba)” (“Zagony”), “Salovka” (“Epereshke”);

1 checkpoint: “Bateve.”

On the border with Romania

In total, there are 11 border crossing points operating on the Ukrainian-Romanian border:

3 road border crossing points: “Dyakove” (“Halmeu”), “Solotvyno” (“Sighetu Marmatiei”), “Porubne” (“Siret”);

3 river border crossing points: “Izmail” (“Plaur”), “Vylkove” (“Pereprava”), “Kiliya” (“Kiliya-Veche”);

4 railway border crossing points: “Teresva” (“Cimpulung la Tisa”), “Dilove” (“Valea Viseu”), “Dyakove” (“Halmeu”), “Vadul-Siret” (“Vixani”);

1 maritime border crossing point: *“Orlivka” (“Isachea”).

On the border with the Republic of Moldova

In total, there are 57 border crossing points and checkpoints operating along the Ukrainian-Moldovan border:

2 ferry crossings: “Yampil” (“Koseuts”), “Tsekynivka” (“Soroka”);

3 river crossing points: “Yampil” (“Koseuts”), “Tsekinivka” (“Soroka”), “Velyka Kosnytsia” (“Vasylkeu”);

8 railway border crossing points: “Mamaliga” (“Kryva”), “Kelementsi” (“Larga”), “Sokyryany” (“Oknitsa”), “Slobidka” (“Kovbasna”), “Kuchurgan” (“Novosavitske”), “Frikatsay” (“Etulia”), “Reni” (“Djudjuleshti”), “Mogyliv-Podilskyi” (“Volchynets”);

3 — border checkpoints: “Larga,” “Karabutseni,” “Bolhrad.”

In accordance with Order No. 288-r of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 13, 2020, a number of border crossing points and checkpoints were temporarily closed.
