The peak of their arrivals was observed from September 7 to 10.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday and Tuesday alone, 11,600 Hasidic pilgrims entered Ukraine, and yesterday\u201413,700. Also yesterday, 1,300 pilgrims left Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, nearly 40,000 Hasidic pilgrims came to Ukraine for Rosh Hashanah.<\/p>\n<p>Rosh Hashanah is the New Year holiday for all who practice Judaism. It is celebrated for two days, and this year it falls on September 11\u201313.<br \/>\nHasidic pilgrims travel to Uman because their spiritual leader, Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav, is buried there.
