During Rosh Hashanah in Uman, from September 4 to 17,<\/strong> special restrictions on entry, exit, and movement within the city will be in effect.<\/p>\n

This was announced<\/a> by Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration.<\/p>\n

The restrictions will be in place due to the arrival of Hasidic pilgrims in Uman. Similar measures have been implemented in the city in previous years.<\/p>\n

Where in Uman will vehicle entry be prohibited?<\/h2>\n

During the special restrictions period, vehicle entry will be completely prohibited in certain areas.<\/p>\n

The ban will apply to the following routes:<\/p>\n

  • from Highway M-30<\/strong> to Uman\u2014on Derevyanka Street<\/strong>, near the \u201cStandard Budivelny\u201d LLC facility;<\/li>\n
  • from the M-30<\/strong> highway to Uman\u2014on Gorikhov Street<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
  • from the village of<\/strong> Rodnikovka<\/strong> to Uman\u2014on Pavlova Street<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Both local drivers and those planning to visit Uman during this period should take these restrictions into account.<\/p>\n

    Where Enhanced Controls Will Be in Effect<\/h2>\n

    In addition to a complete ban on entry on certain routes, enhanced checkpoints will be in place throughout the city.<\/p>\n

    Enhanced checkpoints will be set up:<\/p>\n

    • from the M-30 highway<\/strong> onto Derevyanka Street<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
    • from the M-05 highway<\/strong> onto Yednannya Street<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
    • from the village of Horodetske in the Palanska Territorial Community<\/strong> \u2014 at the intersection of Horodetska Street<\/strong> and Maksym Zaliznyak Street<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
    • from the M-30<\/strong> \u2014 onto Mykhailivska Street<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
    • from the M-30<\/strong> to Vokzalna Street<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
    • from the village of Rodnikovka in the Palanska Territorial Community<\/strong> \u2014 onto Kyivska Street<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Drivers should be prepared for additional checks and possible traffic delays in these areas.<\/p>\n

      Special traffic arrangements for pilgrims on Vyzvolyteliv Street<\/h2>\n

      A special rule will apply to traffic from the M-05 Kyiv\u2013Odesa<\/strong> highway to Uman on Vyzvolyteliv Street<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      This route will be open only to Hasidic pilgrims<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      Therefore, other drivers should choose alternative routes in advance.<\/p>\n

      Restrictions in the pilgrimage district<\/h2>\n

      During Rosh Hashanah, the sale of goods that may pose a safety risk will be prohibited in the pilgrimage district.<\/p>\n

      Specifically, the following items may not be sold:<\/p>\n

      • alcohol;<\/li>\n
      • fireworks;<\/li>\n
      • pyrotechnics;<\/li>\n
      • knives;<\/li>\n
      • other sharp or cutting objects;<\/li>\n
      • air guns;<\/li>\n
      • toys that imitate air guns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        These restrictions are intended to reduce the risk of public order disturbances and dangerous situations in places where large crowds gather.<\/p>\n

        Who Is Affected by the Restrictions<\/h2>\n

        The restrictions apply to:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • local residents;<\/li>\n
        • visitors to Uman;<\/li>\n
        • drivers;<\/li>\n
        • transport operators;<\/li>\n
        • Hasidic pilgrims;<\/li>\n
        • business owners operating in the pilgrimage district.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
