A working meeting was held in the Cherkasy region with the participation of the acting Head of the National Police of Ukraine Maksym Tsutsikiridze on coordinating the efforts of central executive authorities during the joint execution of tasks to ensure public safety and order throughout the Hasidic pilgrims\u2019 stay in Ukraine. This was reported by the National Police press service<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The event was also attended by the Deputy Head of the National Police and Head of the Patrol Police, Oleksandr Fatsievych; Yaroslav Mezhennnyi, Chief of the Main Department of the National Police in Cherkasy Oblast, as well as representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service, and the State Migration Service of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

\u201cStarting on September 6, pilgrims will begin arriving in Uman in large numbers to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. Our task, given the threats of drone and missile attacks, is to ensure the safety of both the pilgrims\u2014from the moment they cross the border until they leave Ukraine\u2014and local residents. This matter is under the supervision of the President of Ukraine and the Minister of Internal Affairs. We must do everything possible to prevent violations of the law. If such incidents occur, the response will be immediate and decisive, up to and including a ban on future entry into Ukraine for violators,\u201d noted Maxim Tsutsikiridze.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

During the meeting, participants discussed a set of security measures aimed at ensuring public safety and order during the Hasidic pilgrims\u2019 stay in Ukraine in September, particularly during the Rosh Hashanah celebrations in Uman.<\/p>\n

Special attention was paid to interagency coordination and the planning of personnel and resources to be deployed to ensure security at the pilgrims\u2019 locations: preventive measures to thwart terrorist threats, sabotage, and provocations; measures to organize fire safety and industrial accident prevention in areas of mass gathering and pilgrim accommodation, including the deployment of special monitoring posts and assistance stations.<\/p>\n

The meeting participants also reviewed the readiness of border crossing points to process pilgrims, projected passenger flows, and security control measures during their entry into and departure from Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The State Migration Service provided information on the organization of monitoring to ensure pilgrims\u2019 compliance with Ukraine\u2019s migration laws and the procedures for responding to potential violations of the conditions of their stay in the country.Following the meeting, key areas for further cooperation among the relevant government agencies were identified ahead of the mass arrival of pilgrims in Uman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
