{"id":1728,"date":"2024-09-20T17:38:19","date_gmt":"2024-09-20T14:38:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umantravel.com\/?p=1728"},"modified":"2026-08-18T08:18:57","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T05:18:57","slug":"security-measures-have-been-stepped-up-in-uman-ahead-of-rosh-hashanah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umantravel.com\/en\/security-measures-have-been-stepped-up-in-uman-ahead-of-rosh-hashanah\/","title":{"rendered":"Security measures have been stepped up in Uman ahead of Rosh Hashanah"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting Monday, September 23, security measures will be tightened in Uman, according to Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to him, as in previous years, special restrictions on entry, exit, and the movement of citizens will be in effect in the city.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a Telegram post, he listed the road sections where vehicle entry will be prohibited, as well as those where checkpoints will be reinforced.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the official reported, <strong>a number of streets will be closed to vehicle traffic:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>from Highway M-30 to Uman, on Derevyanka Street (the \u201cStandard Budivelny\u201d LLC facility);<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>from the M-30 highway to Uman, on Gorikhova Street;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>from Highway M-30 to Uman, on Pavlova Street.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Vehicle traffic will be permitted on the following streets under enhanced checkpoint controls:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>entrance from Highway M-30 to Uman, onto Derevyanka Street;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>entry from Highway M-05 to Uman, on Internatsionalna Street;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>entry from the village of Horodetske (Palanska territorial community) to Uman, at the intersection of Horodetska Street and Maksym Zaliznyak Street;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>the entrance from Highway M-30 to Uman on Mykhailivska Street;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>the entrance from Highway M-30 to Uman on Vokzalna Street;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>the entrance from the village of Rodnikovka (Palanska Territorial Community) to Uman, on Kyivska Street;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>at the entrance from Highway M-05 (Kyiv\u2013Odesa) to Uman, on Vyzvolyteliv Street\u2014for Hasidic pilgrims only.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taburets added that the sale of alcoholic beverages, fireworks, and pyrotechnic devices will be prohibited in the pilgrimage district.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpm_excerpt clearfix\"><p>Starting Monday, September 23, security measures will be tightened in Uman, according to Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.
