The Tikun Ha-Klali\u2014the largest Hasidic prayer gathering\u2014took place in Uman. More than 15,000 people participated.<\/p>\r\n

At noon, the pilgrims paused and repeated the prayer that was broadcast over loudspeakers throughout the neighborhood. During the prayer, the pilgrims recited passages from 10 of King David\u2019s psalms; reciting them is considered an act of atonement for sin.<\/p>\r\n

It is known that these prayers take place in all Bratslav Hasidic communities, both in Uman and in Israel and other countries.<\/p>\r\n

Celebrations for the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, will begin this evening.<\/p>\r\n

Note: \u201cTikun Akhali\u201d was revealed and transmitted to the world by the great and holy tzaddik Rabbi Nachman of Braslav. \u201cTikun Akali\u201d consists of 10 psalms (16, 32, 41, 42, 59, 77, 90, 105, 137. 150) of King David\u2019s \u201cTehillim,\u201d and it is the foundation of the entire book.<\/p>\r\n

The prayer is intended for everyone: men and women; adults and children. When read aloud, sequentially, without interruption whenever possible, and at any time of day, it helps\u2014as the title suggests\u2014with any difficulties, in any area of life, and in any situation.<\/p>\r\n
