{"id":1339,"date":"2026-07-16T08:00:32","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T05:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umantravel.com\/?p=1339"},"modified":"2026-08-17T16:17:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T13:17:09","slug":"uman-is-preparing-for-rosh-hashanah-an-emergency-response-center-will-be-operating-in-the-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umantravel.com\/en\/uman-is-preparing-for-rosh-hashanah-an-emergency-response-center-will-be-operating-in-the-city\/","title":{"rendered":"Uman is preparing for Rosh Hashanah: an emergency response center will be operating in the city"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An operational headquarters has already begun work in Uman to coordinate the efforts of various agencies during the Hasidic pilgrimage for Rosh Hashanah.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was reported by the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience (DESC) following an interagency meeting held on July 14 and chaired by Viktor Yelensky, Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As in previous years, the operational headquarters will be responsible for coordinating the work of the services directly in Uman. This involves cooperation between law enforcement, rescue workers, medical personnel, local authorities, charitable organizations, and other entities involved in preparing for the pilgrimage.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, participants also discussed the readiness of shelters, public and fire safety, medical care, and accommodations and meals for pilgrims.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The State Emergency Service emphasizes that, under martial law, preparations for a mass pilgrimage require special attention, responsibility, and coordinated cooperation among all participants in the process.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpm_excerpt clearfix\"><p>An operational headquarters has already begun work in Uman to coordinate the efforts of various agencies during the Hasidic pilgrimage for Rosh Hashanah.
