It is collected from tourists<br \/>\r\nby officially registered temporary lodging establishments,<br \/>\r\napartment rental agencies, and authorized tax agents. This was reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/mfa.gov.ua\/news\/bezpekovi-zasterezhennya-dlya-prochan-hasidiv-yaki-planuyut-vidvidati-uman-na-yudejskij-novij-rik-rosh-ga-shana1\">the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>In accordance with Uman City Council Resolution No. 4-16\/8 \u201cOn Local Taxes and<br \/>\r\nFees\u201d dated June 26, 2021 (as amended), for foreign citizens<br \/>\r\n(travelers, pilgrims), the fee rate for overnight stays in hotels, campgrounds,<br \/>\r\nhostels, and other hotel-type establishments (with business status) is<br \/>\r\n2.5% of the minimum wage in Ukraine as of January 1 of the reporting<br \/>\r\nyear, and in the case of overnight stays in apartments, residential buildings, annexes to<br \/>\r\na residential building, garden houses, cottages, or rooms\u20145%.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>In 2026, the amount payable per person per night is 216.17<br \/>\r\nUAH (for stays in hotels and other establishments) and 432.35 UAH (for stays in<br \/>\r\napartments and other types of private housing).<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Proof of payment of the full amount of the tourist tax for all days of stay must be<br \/>\r\nconfirmed prior to check-in with an official receipt or invoice that<br \/>\r\nseparately lists the line item \u201cTourist Tax.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>The following are exempt from paying the tourist tax:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n\t<li>children under 18 years of age;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p> <br \/>\r\n<\/p>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n\t<li>people with disabilities, as well as their accompanying persons;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p> <br \/>\r\n<\/p>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n\t<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n\t<li>homeowners or their close relatives (parents, children, spouses, grandparents<br \/>\r\n, siblings, and grandchildren).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p>To confirm eligibility for an exemption, you must have the originals of the relevant<br \/>\r\ndocuments with you, along with a notarized translation into Ukrainian!<\/p>\r\n<p>Within the city of Uman, in accordance with Uman City Council Resolution No. 9-55\/8<br \/>\r\n\u201cOn the Collection of the Tourist Tax\u201d dated August 10, 2023, <strong>the<\/strong> <strong>sole<br \/>\r\nauthorized tax agent for persons staying in apartments,<br \/>\r\nresidential buildings, annexes to residential buildings, garden houses,<br \/>\r\ncottages, rooms, or any other facilities used for<br \/>\r\ntemporary accommodation (overnight stays) other than hotels is the Uman municipal<br \/>\r\nutility company \u201cKommunalnik.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>According to official information from the Uman City Council website, you can pay<br \/>\r\nthe tourist tax\u2014calculated based on the length of your stay in Uman\u2014<br \/>\r\nin the following ways:<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>In cash:<\/strong> upon entering the pilgrimage zone to authorized employees of the Uman Municipal Utility Company (UKP<br \/>\r\n) \u201cKomyunalnyk,\u201d who accept payment exclusively through cash registers.<br \/>\r\n<strong>By bank transfer:<\/strong> in advance to the official bank account of UKP \u201cKommunalnik\u201d<br \/>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/microservice.sensebank.com.ua\/marketplace-lite\/company\/ukp_komunalnyk\">via the link on the website<\/a> or using the following details:<br \/>\r\nRecipient\u2019s name: UKP \u201cKOMMUNALNIK\u201d<br \/>\r\nRecipient\u2019s EDRPOU code: 03366285<br \/>\r\nRecipient\u2019s account number: UA703003460000026002000018669<br \/>\r\nRecipient\u2019s payment service provider: JSC SENS BANK<br \/>\r\nRecipient\u2019s payment service provider\u2019s EDRPOU: 23494714.<br \/>\r\nPurpose: Payment of the tourist tax for \u2026 inbound tourists for<br \/>\r\nthe period from \u2026 to \u2026<\/p>\r\n<p>Failure to fulfill obligations regarding the payment of the tourist tax constitutes an administrative<br \/>\r\noffense and results in the imposition of a fine on the tourist in accordance with<br \/>\r\nArticle 163-17 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.<\/p>\r\n<p>Compliance with the procedure for paying the tourist tax is monitored by representatives<br \/>\r\nof the National Police of Ukraine, who have the right to request documents from tourists that<br \/>\r\nconfirm payment of the tourist tax.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpm_excerpt clearfix\"><p>The tourist tax is a mandatory local fee for all individuals who receive temporary lodging services (overnight stays).
