The Executive Committee of the Uman City Council reports on security measures in
preparation and ensuring the celebration of the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah 2024.
By order of the Chief of the Uman District Military Administration of September 16, 2024 No. 15
“On the organization of separate security measures during the celebration of the religious
holiday of Rosh Hashanah in 2024″ it is PROHIBITED from 00:00 on 23/09/2024 to 00:00 on
08/10/2024 on the territory (in the area) of pilgrimage:
- trade in alcoholic beverages and substances produced on an alcohol basis (with the exception
of medicinal products approved for use and included in the State Register of medicinal products
and disinfectants) on the territory of pilgrimage; - the sale and use of pyrotechnics, including fireworks, fireworks, other explosive substances
that create a noise effect, as well as the sale of pneumatic weapons and toys imitating
weapons, in order to avoid confrontation between police officers and persons carrying replica
firearms weapons.
