Arrival Rules for 2026

From September 4, 2026, through September 16, 2026, access to the pilgrimage area will be restricted.

Procedures for the travel and arrival of pilgrims in Uman:

1) Travel by car:

— Travel by car is prohibited during curfew hours.

Travel during curfew hours (from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. in the Cherkasy region) is permitted only when accompanied by a police patrol from border crossing points to the city of Uman (call the hotline)

2) Large passenger vehicles carrying pilgrims will be allowed to enter the city of Uman at only one location (Vyzvolyteliv Street).

Passengers will disembark and proceed to the pilgrimage area on Chelyuskintsev Street (for large passenger vehicles) and at the intersection of Turistiv and Sadova Streets (for passenger cars).

At the entrance to Uman (Vyzvolyteliv Street), as well as at the intersection of Turistiv and Sadova Streets, pilgrims will be screened for prohibited items using technical equipment.

If pilgrims are accompanied by the patrol police, the aforementioned inspection at the screening checkpoint
will not be conducted.

The following are prohibited in the pilgrimage area:

• • bringing in or transporting alcoholic beverages;

• • the sale of alcoholic beverages and alcohol-based substances;

• • the sale and use of pyrotechnic products/devices, including fireworks, firecrackers, and other explosive substances that produce noise;

• • the sale of knives and other sharp or cutting objects;

• • the sale of air guns and toys that imitate weapons;

• • carrying or transporting weapons and explosives, replicas, and objects resembling weapons;

• • traveling through the pilgrimage area on scooters, mopeds, ATVs, and tricycles.

Pilgrims must strictly comply with the requirements of law enforcement officials!!!

This includes requirements regarding compliance with the curfew established in the city of Uman, as well as responding to “Air Raid” and “Missile Threat” alerts.
